With the recent announcement of the new roadmap, many stores & other businesses now have a likely date to aim for to reopen. If you work in retail, a beauty salon, hairdressers/barbers, an outdoor attraction, gym etc. then the date you’re likely aiming for is the 12th of April. For most remaining indoor businesses, including restaurants & pubs, the 17th of May is looking to be the likely date that you can reopen.

It’s imperitive that you’re fully prepared, whether that’s in regards to having sufficient protective equipment in place, providing effective signage and advertising to help bring more people into your premises and provide a smoother experience for each individual, or having a redesign to keep in line with the current trends. Whatever it may be, we can certainly help you!

Essential Protective Equipment

Even though it looks as though there’s an end in sight, for now it is still essential that you have effective protective equiopment implemented, regardless of the type of business that you run. From providing masks and/or visors for all of your employees (and ensuring visitors are adhering to rules and wearing one themselves), to protective screens at checkout and reception areas to disinfectant dispensers and social distancing floor stickers, for the time-being, these are all still required. So if you want to ensure you have a successful reopening, you need to guarantee that you’re doing your absolute most to protect each individual.

Clear signage displayed around the premises will also be incredibly useful to remind customers/visitors of the current restrictions currently in place within your business.

On-Premises Design, Advertising & Signage

As a number of businesses, perhaps including your own, have been unable to remain open for some time, when the moment to reopen comes around, you need to ensure that you’re prepared. If the last day of trade for yourself landed in December, it’s likely that you’ll have more festive/winter displays out, but now it’s time to update them for both spring and summer to make certain that you stay in line with the current ever-changing trends, (particularly within a retail environment).

In order to entice more people inside, advertising around your premises is a must! Window displays are great at gathering increasing interest in the products and/or services that you sell, especially as you have complete freedom of how to design them yourself, which enables you to create displays that seemlessly meld into your company image. Outdoor pavement signs are also perfect for catching the eye of those passing by. These can additionally act as an obstruction for those walking past, meaning each individual must take note of the content placed on the sign and are therefore more likely to retain the information and as a result, enter the store, restaurant etc.

Sufficient signage in and outside the store is also essential to keep customers up to date with the changing rules and restrictions. Although it’s essential pretty much everywhere in the country now, it’s still important to remind everyone to wear a face covering and remain socially distanced from other people. Signage can also be beneficial in making customers aware of current/upcoming offers, new products, opening hours and more; it’s essential regardless of what’s going on in the world and the type of business that you run.
