6 Ways to Improve the Look of Your Exhibition Stand

Exhibiting is a big investment in both money and time. So, if you’re going to do it then you need to make sure you do it right. Attendees at exhibitions are constantly bombarded with colours, lights, sales talks and giveaways. It is down to you and your team to ensure that your pick the right exhibitions for your brand and that your exhibition stand doesn’t get lost in the crowd.

You and your team will need to design and create a unique display to standout from every other exhibition display at an event. Creating a distinctive exhibition that stands out and creates a strong impression can be quite a difficult process. There are a variety of different things to consider and you want to ensure that you are focusing on the key aspects. To help you out, the team here at VKF Renzel have put together what we believe to be the six most important things to consider when building an exhibition stand.

1. Maximise Your Available Space
One of the potentially most important things to do; as you have limited space at exhibition centres (and the larger the space, the more costly it becomes), you have to fully utilise the space you have available. Regardless of if you have a massive display area or a smaller one, every inch of space is valuable to you. Displaying at any exhibition is expensive for any business!

Avoid bulky display items that may take up too much room and get creative with displays – remember to also make the most of the exhibition walls around your area and use these to display items when you can. You can also improve the flow of your area by ensuring there are no physical obstructions or barriers when entering.

2. Include Graphics
As cliché as it sounds, a picture speaks a thousand words. Everyone that has ever been to a tradeshow can tell you the number of graphical displays they will see. This is simply as one of your main objectives at a tradeshow will be to stand out. You are competing against every single exhibitor when exhibiting at these types of events.

Attendees won’t waste their time reading deluges of information. You only have a finite amount of time to catch their attention. Ideally, they want to know who you are and what you do at the blink of an eye, so they know whether they should talk to you or not. Why not look into Digital Promotional Stands? This way, you can show attendees exactly who you are by having a short snappy video running all day. There are plenty of others graphical display options on offer. Whether its fabric graphics or PVC banner graphics, we have the print solutions to suit any of our customers.

3. Highlight Your Products
If you want people to notice something, then you have to figure out an innovative way to draw attention to it. When exhibiting, you need to standout from your competition. Don’t jumble lots of information that will end up confusing your attendees; keep your displays simple and effective. Whether you’re launching a new product or you simply want to highlight your bestsellers, you can use custom product displays and lighting to bring attention to specific products. Interactive displays are also a great way to sell your products. It may also be worth using Interactive Tablets pre-loaded with your portfolio, as they provide a convenient way for visitors to explore your brand. We a huge range of additional products that can highlight your product, boosting the presence of your products at exhibitions.

4. Maximise Your Visibility
Exhibition venues are huge and in the grand scheme of things your stand is simply a small dot in a maze of other stands. To be seen you need to maximise your visibility and one way to do so is... think up. We have a wide selection of displays that are vertically tall. These will stand far above your stands, being seen by exhibition visitors from far away. Some venues have extremely high ceilings. It is always worthwhile to check if there’s a maximum stand height so you can fully utilise all of the space given. Maximise visibility by suspending things from the ceiling and/or walls and using high signage attracts people to your stand.

5. Enhance Displays
Thinking outside of the box is crucially important to ensuring success at exhibition shows. Your exhibition display needs to be interesting to attract new customers. At VKF Renzel, there are so many different yet easy ways you can enhance your displays on your exhibition stand. Effective lighting is one way you can really draw attention to your stand. Take a Backlit Poster or Banner, for example, it will stand out significantly more than a standard poster. Something this simple can make all the difference.

6. Useful Giveaways
Many companies give away promotional gifts that don't always relate directly to their messages, brands or products. These small promotional items could include key chains, memory sticks, pens, etc. If you want to use giveaways then you must make sure that they are branded, relevant, useful and memorable. They act as incentives for customers and attendees to visit your stand and talk to you about your business. Take something such as a Trolley Token Keyring; these are commonly used by many people as they keep them attached to their keys for all to see, and these may also be branded with your logo.
